To make it easier, the term dementia is used throughout the site to refer to Alzheimer's disease and related dementias.
Dementia is a progressive disease, often described as a journey along a winding pathway. This site will link you to information and resources through six stories. Each of the stories illustrates a different stage of dementia. You may hear echoes of your own experience in these accounts and as you move the mouse over the words, the blue highlighted links will direct you to relevant resources and information.
If you are on your own journey, or if you are supporting someone else with dementia, you need not travel alone. Others who have “been there” can help you face the diagnosis and prepare you for what lies ahead.
